Roy C. Horton, PT, DPT, OCS is currently a fellow in training in the University of Chicago Medicine Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship program. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Midwestern University in 2017 as the valedictorian of his graduating class. After graduation, Roy entered the University of Chicago Medicine Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program and has since remained at the University of Chicago Medicine as a Level II therapist and became a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2019. In addition to pursuing fellowship training, Roy has been an adjunct professor at Midwestern University instructing in Musculoskeletal Anatomy lab and lectures for the past three years. His clinical and research interest includes femoroacetabular impingement syndrome and labral tears, pre- and post- operative ACL rehabilitation, and persistent pain conditions. Roy is a former professional motocross athlete that has endured numerous orthopedic injuries which led to a great appreciation of the journey and challenges individuals encounter during their road to recovery.
