Craig Hensley is Assistant Professor at the Department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University and is co-director of the Northwestern University-Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Orthopaedic Residency. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2007, Orthopedic Residency at the University of Southern California in 2009), and Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship at UIC in 2011). Dr. Hensley has given over 30 peer-reviewed presentations and published over 30 articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He serves on the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Research and Practice Affairs Committee, the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency & Fellowship Education Accreditation Committee, and is an External Assessor for the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (IFOMPT). Dr Hensley is co-authoring the Medical Screening Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and Federal Sections and is working with residency directors across the country to assess outcomes in post-professionally trained physical therapists. He has volunteered to work with the United States Olympic and Paralympic teams in Colorado Springs, Anidaso Health in Accra, Ghana, and at the Kenyatta Medical Training College in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Hensley’s interests include residency and fellowship training, clinical reasoning, and the use of manual therapy across various populations.
