Derek Vraa, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, CMTPT, FAAOMPT; is a co-founder of, and senior faculty in the United States Air Force Tactical Sports and Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship Program. Dr. Vraa has been in clinical practice for 20 years, specializing in the treatment of complex and chronic patients. Derek has lectured at several physical therapy schools in the upper midwest. Dr. Vraa is a board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist (2007 & 2017), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (Dry Needling), Level 3, Myopain Seminars. Derek completed his Fellowship in Manual Therapy through Regis University in Denver, CO. Dr Derek Vraa has presented lectures at both state and national conferences and has five published abstracts. Derek Vraa is a past member of WPTA and served in elected positions in his district. As for recent scholarship work, Derek authored a chapter in the new 3rd edition of Travell & Simons’ Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual.
