Jonathan E. Gallas obtained his PhD in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2017 and has DPT and MPT degrees in physical therapy from St. Ambrose University. Jonathan is currently a staff physical therapist at OrthoIllinois in Rockford, Illinois. He was the clinic manager of this clinic for 8.5 years and recently stepped down from this position to focus on academics as an adjunct professor with both Tufts University and Bowling Green State University. He has a strong background in biomechanics as a runner, cyclist, and triathlete, and facilitates both the Run Right and Bike Right programs at OrthoIllinois. He also teaches LIVE CE classes on dry needling for Race Day Education + Performance, LLC. Jonathan has published original research and multiple case studies in the APTA’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Practice journal. He co-developed and co-directs the Rehab Explorer Program at OrthoIllinois and mentors 2-3 PT students/year. He is also an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, rollerblading, and watching his kids compete at soccer, cross country, basketball, and track.
